The Essentials Collective, a Perth-based grassroots charity dedicated to empowering people in need by providing essential everyday hygiene items, is launching its annual Collecting the Basics campaign on Monday, 15 April.
The donation drive aims to collect critical personal hygiene items and winter warmth essentials to assist vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
The Collecting the Basics campaign will run from 15 April to 31 May, with a focus on gathering basic items like deodorant, toothpaste, body wash, hair care products, as well as winter items including new underwear, socks, beanies, scarves, and gloves. These items are much needed for individuals and families facing homelessness, domestic violence, or other challenging circumstances.
"At The Essentials Collective, we are committed to supporting those in need by providing essential items that many of us take for granted," said Sonia Nolan, Chair The Essentials Collective. "Our annual Collecting the Basics campaign, sponsored by EEO Specialists, is an opportunity for the community to come together with small acts of generosity that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others."
"We rely on the donations from the community to support our efforts in providing essential items to those who need them," added Sonia. "Next time you are shopping, consider adding an extra deodorant or toothbrush to your trolley.
